PAK CHOI BLACK SUMMER F1 ~ beautiful light green leaf stalks and emerald green oval leaves: both hardy and heat tolerant. 50 seeds SOW: spring, summer & autumn; a particularly good variety for the hottest time of the year. You can sow in modules and plant out when young (ideal if sowing in succession), or sow in situ and use the thinnings in salads or replant in cooler weather. GROW: space about 20cm apart. Black Summer quickly forms into a vase shape and can be cut from 6 weeks (younger for baby leaf). Keep the roots moist as drought can trigger flowering – however these are also delicious! EAT: add raw to salads or choose from a myriad of ways to cook: leaves, stalks and flowering shoots are all tasty.
